Night Tales From Omar Souleyman

Autumn 2017 sees a new live club concept coming from De Marktkantine in Amsterdam.
Night Tales From will highlight sounds from different parts of the world: Middle East, Scandinavia, Africa, South-America or India for instance. All parts of our planet will get the musical attention they deserve. Each edition an artist or live-act is invited to do a live show followed by a (local) dj who’s been inspired by the sounds of that particular part of the world.



For the first edition Night Tales From invited the notorious singer Omar Souleyman from Syria. With his signature turban and black shades this Syrian artist has been around the world many times already.
His third and latest album ‘To Syria, With Love’ was released on Mad Decent in June 2017.
